Strawberry Muffins

I’m so ready for summer and fresh berries. I’m watching the Bachelorette as I write this, and I can’t get over the awkwardness. The classic pensive stares across the corn fields or the cityscapes. The bumbling one-liners and nervous giggles. There was even one shot of a dude who was playing fetch with his like, 300 pound labrador retriever. You could tell that lab had never retrieved anything in his life. OH, and how about the yoga dude who is totally into love and the univer

Honey Challah Bread

Welcome to my happy place. Carbs Land. Do you guys have any idea how horrible I am at braiding? I grew up with three brothers, and all I wanted was to be one of the boys. I didn’t have a friend who was a girl until I was in fourth grade. And I’m pretty sure I was her first girl friend. So I don’t know if that really counts or not. When I was 12 my family moved out of the country for several years. I guess I really grew into myself in those couple years because when I came bac

Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

I’ve only been to Red Lobster one time, but the only thing that really made any sort of impression on me were the biscuits. Ohhhh… the biscuits. I couldn’t get this garlicky, cheesy, buttery goodness out of my head. Luckily there are one and a half million recipes on the internet for these awesome cheese bombs, and I am about to bring you yet another one! You are welcome. Even though this recipe seems to be a dime a dozen, you still want it. Trust me. They only take like 15 m

Bran Muffins

So… these bran muffins probably would have been fairly healthy if I hadn’t eaten 17 of them in one sitting. These suckers are delicious and …. moist. There. I said it. The word we all dread. But seriously, what other options do we have?! Have you ever looked up synonyms for the word moist? It will come up with words that I either: 1. never want to hear when reading about food, or 2. sound slightly inappropriate… this is a family friendly blog, people! Exhibit A: synonym: da

Cheese Sticks

These are the perfect accompaniment to your homemade pizza. Because ya know… the best thing to eat with bread and cheese is more bread and cheese. Hope you got all your beach pictures in, because these are definitely not going to help out with that. But I mean, c’mon. You gotta live a little. These suckers are dang good dipped in some marinara sauce, or even better …. ranch. Weird? Maybe. Delicious? Definitely. Just try it. Of course, homemade ranch is ALWAYS better than the

Best Wheat Bread

Hmmm…. Bread. Bread is my jam. Jam is my jam. Bread and jam together are like… really good. So… yeah. You guys. Things have been SOOO cuh-ray-zee lately. SO crazy. Who knew having a mobile baby, moving into a new house and starting a new awesome job could be so time consuming? Everybody knew that. EVERY. BODY. So, let’s just stuff our faces with bread together for a quick second, because that could make the world stop spinning for just one tiny moment. Best Wheat Bread 2016-0

Multigrain Pizza Crust

Move over Pizza Hut, this is literally the greatest pizza crust recipe on the face of the planet. Don’t let the multigrain part of it scare you. It is seriously SERIOUSLY good. And if it just happens to be multigrain then more power to us because that means we can have an extra piece, right? This is Mr. T’s favorite pizza crust. He told me one time in the middle of stuffing more into his mouth. This recipe is cool too because you can make big pizzas, or individual pizzas depe

Nutella Banana Bread

Finnish Cardamom Braids

I love bread. I especially love pretty bread, but of course it also has to be delicious. That’s a given. I was a little intimidated of this recipe because I don’t really know how to braid that well. I know, I’m so not a girly girl. I can’t tie bows, I can’t braid, and if you could see how bad I am at painting fingernails you would seriously laugh your butt off. But I feel like I’ve got other skills that seem more useful than any of those things. Like, I am strangely adept at

Basic White Bread

Making bread at home makes me feel a little cool. Also, loaves of bread in California are like 100 million dollars each, so if I make it at home then I figure we come out way ahead. I know… that seems a little excessive to me too. Also, it makes my house smell amazing, and Mr. T loves walking into the house from work and smelling freshly baked bread. It keeps the spark alive. Also, it tastes amazing but I don’t have to tell you that. Also, it’s really not that hard. Pinky swe

Parmesan Bread

K, peeps. Promise me you won’t get your panties in a bunch when you bite into this deliciousness and it doesn’t taste like garlic bread. If it was supposed to taste like garlic bread, it would be titled, “Garlic Bread”.But it’s not. It’s name is, “Parmesan Bread” so take a super wild guess as to what you think this tastes like. Chocolate? Um… I wish. Peanut Butter? Who raised you?! Get outta here. Cheese? BOOM! Thank you! 70,000,000 points to Gryffindor! I shouldn’t be allow

Buttermilk Biscuits

Have you ever heard the song “Buttermilk Biscuits” by Sir Mix-a-lot? It’s kind of awesome. My brothers and I used to listen to it all the time. Here’s a few verses: One day I kissed my freak, hit the street Looking for something to eat In a 18-wheeler, lookin’ real swass All the girls smile ’cause I’m the big boss Said I gotta eat now, can’t eat later Made a lot of noise to attract my waiter The boy walked up, and what did he say? “Say, buttermilk biscuits free today!”

Buttery Cornbread

Cornbread and cinnamon honey butter… These guys should get married. Like how peanut butter and jelly are married? These two should consider doing that. For like tax reasons or green cards or true love or something. They just need to be together. Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Guess who got INNNNN-TERRRRR-NETTTTTTT!!!! Yeah. I just sang that. I might be a little excited. You know what else gets me excited? Food. Specifically good food, like this blueberry zucchini bread. I’m pretty easily entertained. Blueberry Zucchini Bread 2016-01-24 20:38:56 My favorite way to eat zucchini. With blueberries and sugar, obviously. Easy Bread Maker Rolls

These rolls are seriously SOOO good. We like to make them with half wheat flour and half white flour and they turn out so light and fluffy with such good flavor. If you prefer a white roll, these also make exceptional white rolls, but you are going to want to trust me on the half wheat half white part. PLUS making them with wheat flour is way healthier anyway, AMIRIGHT?! I also love that all of the work with these rolls is done with a bread maker. We are all about being lazy.
