Triple Berry Spinach Smoothie

taylordthurston

I drink a smoothie for breakfast almost every morning so I’m always looking to switch things up a bit.

This smoothie is SO. FREAKISHLY. GOOD. Seriously. SO. GOOD.

It’s the perfect smoothie recipe for the season as we head out of fresh berries and toward good smoothies that utilize frozen fruit.

This smoothie features a mixture of frozen raspberries, blackberries and blueberries that I found at my local Costco.

If you are like Famous Julie or Martha Stewart you’ve probably grown your own berries and have them perfectly frozen in some freezer somewhere… but us mere mortals have to buy our frozen berries.

Then you’re going to blend them up with a little OJ, some banana and a handful of fresh spinach and you are on your way to a healthy start to your day.

In just a matter of minutes, too. Man. Smoothies are the whole package.

You honestly can’t even taste the spinach in this smoothie either… and because it doesn’t turn green, think of all the veggie goodness you could sneak into your children/husbands.

Yeah… buddy.

I know I’m not the only wife/mom out there that tries to sneak green stuff into my loved ones.

Luckily, Baby Girl totally loves this because trying to convince a toddler that she likes something is like … well … trying to convince a toddler that she likes something.

It’s basically impossible.

But, at our house, we don’t negotiate with terrorists.

Homegirl will learn to love her veggies. I’m determined.

Or I’ll just keeping stuffing her full of green smoothies. That would totally work too.
