Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole

I made it off the mountain in one piece!

I deserve a little bit of this deliciousness.

Famous Julie makes this every Christmas morning.

So, naturally it is one of my favorites.

It’s incredibly good, and easy to assembly the night before so all you have to do is wake up and turn on the oven and throw it in for a warm delicious breakfast.

I love breakfasts like that.

As you can tell from the pictures, I am visiting Famous Julie’s house and get to use her pottery.

Baby girl is getting pretty dang good at flying by now. I always have my hands pretty full with her though so the only thing I ever want to get on the flight is a bottle of water.

I’m pretty sure those water bottles couldn’t get any tinier, and of course I’m always seconds from death by the time I get my hands on one. I need to start asking if I can have like one or two, or forty of them because just one isn’t cuttin’ it for anyone. I don’t care who you are.

Delicious, easy breakfast casserole that can be put together the night before and baked the next morning for a yummy, warm breakfast!

We like to put this together the night before, so the next morning you can just pop it straight into the oven for an easy, warm breakfast!

Ingredients

  1. 24-30 oz. package frozen hash browns

  2. 1/2 cup butter, melted

  3. 2 cups cheese (I like to use any combo that I have on hand)

  4. 1 cup sausage, cooked

  5. 1 cup milk

  6. 6 eggs

  7. 1/2 teaspoon season salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.

  2. In a large pan over medium/high heat slightly brown hash browns. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan. Pour melted butter over the hash browns and bake for 20 minutes.

  3. Reduce the oven temperature to 350° F. Layer the cooked sausage over the hash browns and pour cheese over the top. In a medium sized bowl combine the milk, eggs and season salt and slightly beat together. Pour over the cheese and bake for 45 minutes.
